Map Measurer with mechanical 0.9mm lead pencil, the flight distances can then be measured by rolling the measuring wheel on the top of pen along the route and reading the distance displayed on the pen body of scale. this piece is made from bakelite which could be made in 1940's and this is a patented products, I still do not find out this patent document yet.
