Mornington Island is located in the south corner of the Gulf of Carpentaaira, Queensland, Australia where is an Abriginal Community with rainforest island.

In 1944, Flying Officer Brown investigated the area and no trace of the ship or any other sign of a landing on the island could be found. So that the all mails were delivered via by Paracute Mail to the island. This envelope had a big sticker of PARACUTE MAIL by QANTAS with Flying Officer Brown signature on 22/12/1947.
